just started testing for ca,alk and mg. My results were Ca-400 Alk- 7.8 and Mg- 1180. Im looking for some direction as where to go next. I have a 75 gallon reef tank with mostly LPS and 2-3 SPS. A 29 gallon sump with a ASM g-3 skimmer and a 10 gallon refugium. No reactorsa or dosing as of now. TIA for any help

Your cal doesn't look too bad, but I would bump up the Alk and Mag a bit. I would start out with some 2 part additive and slowly dose the Alk to bring it up to 8.2DKH and the Cal up to 420 - 440. I'd also get some Mag supplement bump it up to about 1300 to 1350. Once there just test and maintain as your tank demands it.

+1 Agreed. Although I like to run my mag a lot higher (1500-1550) because my chalices seem to like it. but most of all try to keep what ever level you go with as stable as you can. That is the key to being successful IMO.
