My egg crate gets dirty quite easily it seems like. I'm guessing the moisture from evaporation attracts dirt and grime and then the flake from the autofeeders doesn't always fall through and gets moist and chunky..

TANK TALK: Let's talk about tank mates. Which fish and coral combinations have surprised you with unexpected harmony in your reef? Share your success stories and photos for your entry today.
Unfortunately, the most harmonious fish/coral combination is Foxface/GSP. Can't get him to eat any of it.

Not bad, when it gets wet I just rinse and dry.

I have a clear mesh diy screen kit currently and it’s from our 120 so covers a little more than 1/2 the tank haha but it stays pretty clean other than a ro wipe down on the frame when it gets crusty

TANK TALK: Share a brief written or video story of your most active and acrobatic fish, and the character they bring to your tank!

My most active fish would have to be the squirrels. They are always out and about while also being in the shadows. No matter the time I know they will greet me lights on or off. They are also the pigs of the tanks, always willing to eat

TANK TALK: Manual feeding is an important activity by which to observe and evaluate all the animals in your care. Tell us about your feeding routine. Did you know the Plank mixing chamber is a convenient means to manually feed frozen food? What are your thoughts or questions concerning the balance between manual and automatic feeding?
I love feeding the fish it’s the only interaction we can do with your fish that’s actually between them and you.

I work a lot though so auto feeding is very important to keep everyone healthy. Can’t have them starve while I’m at work 16hours a day

I no longer have it but I use to have a small green carpet anemone and our Randall’s goby would feed it from time to time. Picking up or bringing food over then spitting it out over the nem. While this was interesting and cool it did bring the carpet towards his hole and away from the light to its eventual downfall and vanishing

Does this count if it’s two panes of glass lol.

If so it’s horrible. The glass is scratched and it’s heavy and cumbersome. Because of how old they are, the dust doesn’t wash off well. Also they were the backs of the old style Ebi tanks that had the foam background held on with silicone dots. The dot spots never cleaned off well, so it collects condensation in a strange way. Plus a few chips and the hands are double sided tape.

In short, it’s extremely offensive to the tank quality and the manufacturer probably has disowned me as a purchaser.

Mesh lid! Works for being cheap and easy. I have had fish get stuck in the mesh. And as you will see in the picture salt buildup. Nice and crusty! Usually easy to wipe down.

My Starry Blenny liked hanging out in my GSP. Liked being past tense....
