I bought new T5 bulbs to replace the stock ones my fixture came with. I went all ATI, 4 blue+, 1 aquablue special, and 1 purple plus. I'm at a lost for words when looking at the lights now and can't be any happier.

Chris- no more of that bright white which was killing me. Now I need to find out how to get polyp extension on my SPS.

lights isnt the problem, either lack of flow (not likely) or substance in the water (reef plus or equal)

Bio pellets for the pe.

I've been running BP for about 2 weeks now and got PE like crazy. But I kinda got mixed feelings about the PE because my acros now look too fuzzy.

Edit. Marinedepot has a nice package with a reactor and BP for around 60-70.

you are complaining about fuzziness??? and btw, those pellets havent had enough time to even begin doing what they are going to. give it 4 more weeks, and then your PE will be like an sps looking like a torch coral.:xd:

I think I may have to do that. Rick made me a reactor that I can put bio pellets with no prob. I'm running GFO and carbon but am considering going just bio pellets. Do you think that is what I'm missing for pe?

Wouldn't hurt to try.
Start out with 1/4 of the recommended amount. For 2 weeks.

It's time for me to get new bulbs. Would my fish be ok with all blue and purple? I love blue! It would save me having to try to duplicate what's in there too. Not all of them are marked.
