That is a good point. The footprint of the sump included is 36" * 14". If the Red Sea sump footprint works, you could replumb the Mariner to work with it, just not use the included plumbing for underneath.

Can you remove the Red Sea plumbing from the existing tank easily? If so, the center overflow should be almost identical between the RS and the ESHOPPS so you can potentially use the existing plumbing and existing sump and sell the RS-300 and plumbing?

The sump section isn't much larger than the sump itself.

The AF or AR-300 should fit in the same space. The AR-300 would work with the same plumbing configuration, the AF-300 wouldn't work with the supplied plumbing.
