Looking to see if I might be able to get some advice on where I might be going wrong with my tank. Started out with an Evo 13.5 about 18 months ago. Afer having that up and running for about 13 months I broke it down and upsized to an IM 30 long setup. With both tanks I've struggled to keep several popular and supposedly easy corals alive and thriving. I seem to have problems with torches, duncans, and acans for some reason. They all do ok for a couple of months and then start to decline and then just die off. Also I have frogspawn, hammers, mushrooms, leathers, a chalice of some sort, and even some basic sps that all do fine. They are thriving and growing well. My LT nem is doing awesome. I keep my parameters as follows: Alk 8.6 / Cal 430 / Mag 1350 / Phos .05 - .07 / No3 10 / SG 1.026 / temp. 78. Dosing Alk and Calcium with dosers to keep those stable. I'm also running 2 Prime HD lights approx 10" off surface using Pirates of Caribbean at roughly 60% with 0 whites. I run 2 Jabao sow4 wave makers on medium flow and also run a skimmer. One other thing that's strange is that I recently lost a nice bunch of Kenya Tree and my Pulsing Zenia is looking a little withered. Where am I going wrong? Thanks!

I've tried feeding Reef Roids and Coral Frenzy couple of times a week but it doesn't seem to matter much.
Yeah that usually irritates mine, I don’t feed lps those foods ever anymore. Use frozen mysis or LRS reef frenzy.

How many devices are you using to measure your salinity? Also, I've found that with meaty corals too much flow can definitely wither away LPS. They tear at the base and then proceed to get worse, maybe something to look at if like LPS are doing fine but some others have died. Any fish on the fringe nipping at anything?

I use a BRS refractometer and recently checked calibration with fluid. I definitely don't feel like the acans and duncans are getting too much flow due to where I typically place them. The torches I've tried have been placed where they do get moderate flow to move them around. They seem to do great at first with nice extension and movement. After a bit they start to recede and eventually die. The last one I had only extended about 1/2" for a while and then just withered away. Also haven't observed any fish nipping at any of them.
