*** FILEFISH MY BAD

I’m a coral person, not a fish gal D:

The ends have the typical barb that you would see on the worm. Accidentally tangled him in the net with the barb— didn’t know that was there

Here you can see some of them sort of having the split ends. I think it’s probably best to euthanize if the infestation is This extreme. I don’t have any medications for fish yet- I had no idea there would be actual with with this tank I got today.

Thats a filefish, I'd take a closer look at what you think could be worms. I'm not an expert, but to me they just look like that.

Oh sorry, filefish- no idea (,:

I read they could be mucus plugs too??
He was going through a Lot of stressful changes today. I don’t see any spots like you would with ich or anything else? And all the little strings are in the same place on both sides.

Poor guy.

Since I’m not seeing ANYTHING on any of these other fish, I’ll keep an eye on him.

I had to cut him out of my fishnet.. he’s got a blue hat now. :loudly-crying-face:

Again I'm not an expert on filefish, I've not had one before but I don't see anything wrong with the fish. They have those bits you're talking about for camouflage. I just google searched for images and found a large number of articles about them where the pictured healthy specimen have the same bits you're worried about. https://reefbuilders.com/2016/09/29/biotas-bristletail-filefish-are-trained-to-eat-aiptasia/
+1 Normal. I try not to use nets when possible for this reason.

I didn’t know it had a sharp barb on its head—- I went to pick up a tank that said they had “fish.” Stressed that poor little guy out so hard.

I saw two clowns in the picture. They kept the clowns :rolling-on-the-floor-laughing:

How do you catch fire fish without a net? Very fast
