Tang police.....is this OK for a small tang?

Here is the situation...I may be getting a rare tang in at about 3 inches long. I don't want to house it immediately in my 210 with my RS Purple, Kole, Naso, and Sailfin. I have a 100 gallon chalice tank that measures
30" x 30" x 24" that I plan on housing him in for the immediate future with plans to eventually place him in my 210.

Is this OK for a juvenile tang? Thanks.

Depending on the species of course, as long as it gets moved when it grows it should be fine. Remember, most QT are less than 40 gallons.

Depends on the species. Cteno's can stay in a 100g no problem for as long as they live pretty much......
Either way it will be fine in there and shouldn't outgrow unless it is an acan' that eats a ton....

If its just temporary, I wouldn't see a problem at all...but for a more permanent home, it would really depend. Like sikryd said, bristletooth's like koles, tominis and convicts would be fine in that size. Sounds good to me!

I don't do it myself but ive seen fat happy full size yellow and purple tangs in a 90 and 120g tanks before...
