another reefer on a local board gave us this link to Joe Jaworski's website. He has a link to a presentation he did on rock work. I thought it was just awesome, and would like to pif to you guys.

I too enjoyed watching the video! I just finished doing the aquascaping in my tank and I think I did pretty good on the rule of 1/3rds!

I liked this presentation. I think he covered most of the basics. The only thing I think he might have touched on more is viewing your rock as a canvas for the corals. In other words, it is tough to resist the urge (especially as a newbie) to view the shape you create with your rocks as a finished product. The result of doing so, IMO, is that the shape is lost when corals grow in, or even worse, there isn't enough room for corals to grow in (rocks are piled too high). So the only thing I would add is envisioning where corals will be placed and what the aquascape will look like when grown in. That is definitely a small point tho - really excellent presentation....

i just watched it and really enjoyed it. i didnt know about the 1/3 's rules. since im not done with my liverock yet i think i will definetly be doing the 1/3 opening. :)

good presentation...for having such a good eye for aquascaping he sure has a bad eye for IDing coral haha...thanks for the post though I enjoyed that
