I went with trigger on my first tank and was so happy I got one for the second. They were helpful when a plastic wheel broke. I still have the spare they sent at no charge. I can’t imagine many issues with a sump if you are looking at the sapphire.

I think you would be fine with most acrylic sumps from brand name manufacturers in terms of failure/replacement. Shop for size/features that fit what you need best.

For anyone that doesn't want to spend that kind of $ for a sump you can save $400 using a 40breeder and one of the many sump kits.

I don't bother with sump kits myself

If you want to be really be budget conscious just use a Rubbermaid tub which come in various sizes to fit under a stand. Total cost $15-20

If its just the sump - no electronics included, etc then I wouldn't care what the warranty is. After you get it setup if you have problems later down the road it would be a DIY fix with scrap plexi and/or some weld-on.

Trigger Systems customer service is some of the worst in the industry. I’ve had a broken filter roller for over a year. Bought the upgraded version and it came in wrong. They won’t respond to the issue, won’t give money back, and just ignore any request I send for help

Hey you ever got this issue sorted from them ? I ordered the v2 kit for the platinum 39 and got it last week , doing the install my screen or motor won't come on , and uaing the same powersupply on the v1 and it works, I wrote emails daily since last Wednesday, and they're not responding at this point it's been the worst customer service I've ever encountered , wish I knew of these reviews before I purchased.

Nope. They have full on ignored me for months now. Took my money and never delivered. They would be the last option I’d ever pick at this point. Just a horrible experience all the way around
