Hi All
Long time lurker picking up as much research as possible. First time poster, I recently setup my new aquasys 255 tank but have a question about sump layout/design.
I installed a Clarisea reefmat but due to size it had to be installed in 2nd section after socks. So it’s plumbed in and the secondary drain goes straight to socks. I find this section now useless and was wondering if I could turn this small section into a fuge. Photo attached.
Sorry if this is not explained well.

Thanks in advance for any help/suggestions.

Technically, the filter is made to replace socks, so it should be in the first chamber plumbed into the drain.

It does not fit the first chamber where the socks are so it’s in the 2nd chamber and is plumbed in.
