Working on getting them somewhere happy.
This is the best extension I’ve seen from these two. My luck it will take until my new tank arrives and then they will be super happy right before I have to move them to a new tank!

Grandmaster - grabbed it from POTO! I swear it looks like someone put accent lighting at the base of each stalk!

Arrival day

Best extension I got, about 1-2 weeks after arrival
EDFECA58-FBF7-4B7E-9C78-3484D97F6335.jpeg 4F1516A1-ED29-4DD1-8A2D-53D32ECD03FA.jpeg 4002335E-6F4E-46C7-B7A0-3BD8EA574F8C.jpeg 61A1D991-C3B6-4A72-A2FA-5683F092AB2C.jpeg

And lately I am getting this
FD2CE307-5C96-4972-8567-3670241F7D55.jpeg 681F9280-831A-4339-9218-9AE1282CCF6D.jpeg C40F88FA-CF14-4017-87D5-962D1D8D1EF6.jpeg 02898FBC-9ED0-49CA-94DB-A3E11BD0C697.jpeg

You can see I enclosed them in a isolation box, I’m out of ideas as to what’s halted their progress and started to wonder if fish are nipping when I’m not around, and I do see improvement in the box, hoping they continue to improve and start to extend more like they did week 1-2

This is TSA sour tsunami

That arrival day pic that shows it already has receding flesh ….that would worry me. It looks like its flesh has receded more?

I would cut off any skeleton that has no polyps. Obviously be careful and get as close to the live part as possible. I’d also do an iodine dip after.

This has helped me save multiple LPS corals. Especially if algae is starting to take over the skelton.

I asked about that and he said that was from fragging and was old, and new recession would have white skeleton and this is dark because it’s been like that for a month, and the coral is healed and opening fine

Is there pictures of the "grandmaster" colony? Goniopora come in several stalks. Short, short - medium, medium, medium long- long and extreme

If is also possible it’s not gonipora and instead is Bernardpora. Many of what is sold as short/micro stalk/polyp Goni is actually Bernardpora and they only extend random stalks based on aggression

They do not tolerate being near Goni and will send out random sweepers to attack. People mistake these random sweepers as “long tentacle Goni” and think with proper conditions and care they can get them all to extend, but it’s not the same
