And an update on the recently rescaped "Home for hated Critters Tank"

Need to build a small ATO for it and then cut a piece of scrap acrylic for a lid. It is at 1.027, so not bad for a few days, but still.

Other than that, the ulva has grown some, the aips are now all open and the lone zoa is open. It is reaching, so may turn light up some. It is only a kessil a80 that is mounted to the brace above it, so is a little high. I think it is at 40% or so, so have room to turn it up.

I still think it is a cute little 2.5 gallon tank lol.

Ulva sea lettuce on rocks?
yup.

I use old tank water to do a WC on the tank. It is also loaded with pods, so gives them a little food. In turn, the pods walk on the aips and it gives them food. Little micro ecosystem lol.

@DiefsReef understands what I am talking about lol.
I plead the 5th!

Most modems are as steve said. All in one. I haven't seen just modem with no routing abilities
They dont even call them modems anymore, they are gateways now which is what, a routed modem right..

She will not say no when there is a data breach or ransomeware that makes it through.. Too late at that point though lol.

I have seen C level people lose a cushy job for a no they said in regards to network security. And it was not even that bad of a breach. They were just able to jam up a few things and that is it, but someone lost their job.
This is why I dont do network admin work!

My husband and his boss had to shut a few things down because an employee gave out a password.

Now his boss was given a certain amount to spend to upgrade things. Apparently, he's not allowed to spend it. So, karren has her rear end covered for when this happens. But, she's too dumb to know he keeps his emails of her saying "no, you can't buy that."
And again, This is why I dont do network admin work! Someone in upper management will always find a reason why you cant do whats needed and its always your fault when it goes south.

You know what, I am just going to grow what ever coral I can, and avoid networking. What's a modem again?

So, I ordered some stuff from Gulf Coast Ecosystems (live-plants.com) a few days ago and it came in today.

Here is the list.

Halimeda Opuntia
Cryptonemia sp. (I will properly ID once I get it under some light)
Gracilliria sp. (looks like G. parvispora in the bag, another to make sure of when in light)
Halymenia durvillei (dragons breath)
Red Algae Sampler (no idea yet lol)
Udotea flabellum (or posibly U. caribaea. Will have to look at under light to be sure)
and the main reason for the order, 5x common RFA. I needed some common ones for the display sump.

As usual, Russ did a wonderful job on packing all of the items. Everything arrived alive and looks great, even after 2 day ground shipment (ordering from him before, I knew 2 days would be fine). The temp in the bags was 79, yup 79 even in this heat. But, being as my tanks run about 76-77, the bags are floating in the coral QT tank to get the temp down to where I want it. I wish I could tag Russ and GCE in this, but I do not believe they are on here. So, an email and text have been sent to him, as I do it after every order since the orders are always top notch.

Once that is done, the macro will be rinsed in RODI over a mesh screen thingy I made and all critters I want to keep will be quickly removed and placed in a bowl of old tank water.

From there, I will look through it all to make sure nothing funky (tons of orders and never any issues, but this is just me being me lol)

After that, the macro will get an iodine dip, scrubbed off, then a final RODI shower, and then put in the display fuge.

All while this is happening, the RFA will be placed into a container and flushed a few times, get an iodine bath (very light) and then be placed into the tank.

While I know that this may seem to be overkill to some and not enough for others, I feel this is just right for me and the chance of anything bad making it in is very low.

Pics will follow once I get everything situated and in the sump.

But for now, I am about to get going on the above lol.
