Unless water isn't moving somewhere and it's older.
Perhaps but even sitting in a pipe should not cause the TDS to rise. Unless, of course, it’s an old house with galvanized pipes. In which case, I’d recommend replacing them with copper or CPVC (depending on code).

I know it's really weird. I even went so far as to take the tds meter off the system downstairs and installed it upstairs thinking the meter could be off. Nope same #s.

All the incoming pipes are copper. The drain system not so much. I thought it may be pipes as well until I confirmed all copper.

Hopefully get some rock in it tomorrow. Off from job #2. Weird thing I didn't find any of the little packets in the sand with the "stuff" in it to help with the cloudiness. Is that still a thing or no?
Sand bed deep enough for a wrasse or do I need more?

The last bags I got had them. They could be buried in the sand bed...

That's what I thought too. Been a year since I did sand so wasn't sure. Thanks.

Should be fine for wrasses, I have a less and my monster dusky is fine.

Also, some brands/varieties do and some don't include the little pouch. I can't recall the specifics on which is which. I always use tropic eden and they don't in anything.

I thought the same thing when I added the sand to my evo. I found it the next day in the tank raking through the sand. my evo was a year ago, so I'm not sure if they have stopped since but you may have dumped it in without realizing.

As long as it's not Gnomes. I hate gnomes. That silent g is so annoying.
I think there would be far more destruction with gnomes. also they are too busy stealing underpants.

...

written yesterday, posted today, because I guess that's who I am now.

Searched but no packets. Think I may call them tomorrow to confirm. Sal 1.025 so we are ready. Gonna grab a couple rocks from the 180g sump and hook up the top off tonight.

Oh forgot. Can I add some aquaforest life source mud to the sand to help with the cycle?

I have no clue on this one but I'd say that it may jump start the cycle but it may also have some die off causing a spike in ammonia or nitrites?
