I've been working on shooting image stacks and learning what will work and won't work with this technique. I had expected that more shots would work without extra processing. Not so. Here's one that worked rather well.

This is the process that allows a better f-stop, and then stacking the pictures that have different focus points, having the finished product to completely in focus, and without any refraction....in a nut shell...correct?

Junior, yes, that's right. Using Helicon Focus to combine the images. It works very well under some conditions (this is one), and not worth a hoot with other shots. I've been rather disappointed in some instances. Still learning the ins and outs and how to get around some of the problems. I'll keep plugging away at it.

Oh man Gary. Junior, l gotta take you photographers up on the ins and outs of this. I'll never see the sun again. Oh well, guess I get enough UV indoors.

That is AWESOME Gary! My only nit pick is the lower left corner, EVERYthing else is in focus but that... I think that would make awesome wall art, in a zero edge frame.... Way Cool!

Poseidon, Yes, the LL corner is a frustration with this one. I thought I had a frame with that in focus, but obviously I didn't. Tried taking that frame out of the stack, but didn't like the result. It's a learning process.

That is a beautiful image. I have seen some photographers do this with pictures of cactus flowers. It really produces a great shot.

Very nice pic, I never have enough patience to do this kind of stuff, nor the equipment.
