O.K., I've had this happen before, but I cannot recall the cause, or how I fixed it. While composing a post, mispelled words are no longer highlighted. I am SO bad at spelling, I need that! How do I restore that functionality?

Thanks,

Jay

It could be related to the operating system or browser you’re using to access r2r.

Sometimes updates can reset the configuration, or change something that may introduce a bug which make it malfunction.

I'm going through various settings and can't find anything related to spell check... I know what you're talking about though - mine either corrects my word to a real word (not necessarily the one I meant, lol) or underlines it in a squiggly red line...

I use Google Chrome (browser) and it has settings for spell check options.
When I type to post on R2R, pretty sure my browser is what's detecting mis-spelled words for me.

Ok, I figured it out. There's nothing in R2R but if you go to your phone settings and search for "spell check", there should be something in the results that allows you to turn it back on. I have a Google Pixel and this is what my screens looked like.

Thanks! That's it! When I'm on my phone, it's normal, but suddenly, on my desktop, running Chrome, I had no spell check. That setting had gotten turned off.

That fixed it! Of course, two years from now, it will happen again, and I'll forget how I did it (grin).
