That's crazy! What are you feeding? Sardines?

Do they ever bite each other during the frenzy?
Hey mate
nope never bitten each other ever, in saying that the large tess will not tolerate any other living thing in the tank except for the 3 White eyed morays, they are buddies, Tess likes to kiss all other tankmates, but when kissing, doesnt remember to not use his teeth ;)
I feed them on sardines, mullet, bream, squid, octopus, among things :)

I’ve shared Eelijah a couple times I think, but not for some time. This guy has gotten absolutely enormous since I first got him February 2020.
White Eyed Moray Eel.
(Yes, I am setting up a bigger tank asap)

Giant Moray (Gymnothorax javanicus)
“Water is cloudy due to sifting through sand video was taken mid tank renovation”
Don’t think I’ve ever seen another one of these in the hobby, usually only find them in public aquariums or in the ocean
Was at my LFS just listed as “Show Size Moray”

Also, I just noticed the 3 rows of teeth. That's wild!! Those will slice a finger off without trying.

I'm just kidding, haha. Don't lose a finger! I have a big porcupinefish. I don't hand feed anymore after watching him crush shells up.
All good, he is exciting to feed as we use to keep snakes so i dont mind a tag or two, this guy is just abit more serious lol

Hey all, picked up an awesome zebra eel. Also picked up some frozen krill for now but what are you guys feeding your eels? I am assuming I am able to go to the fish market and get fresh shrimp and clams and squid?
Thanks

Whole clams are great (I buy little necks and freeze them. When they thaw a bit they pop open). The squid and shrimp at the store isn't too nutritious. They gut them and that's where all the nutrients are.

I feed silverslides too. They still have the guts.

Wow really cool!!! Do they get all the food? I know they are pretty blind! Is there anything else in tank to get scraps? Thanks
They all get food :)
a few snails in the tank, but no left over the white eyes always search and destroy any left over food, the Tess wont allow tank mates, we have tried a few and they end up getting eaten lol

hows yours going mate?
Pretty great, very soon going to force me to finish up my 230 gallon as it’s gonna run out of room soon.

Also, algae. Lots of algae.
