Had to share the video of my babies from 8+ years ago.

Oh how I loved these eels. They ate everything from squid to shrimp to scallops to a variety of feeder fish, to strips of fish filets as we were preparing dinner. They were like puppies and could recognize different individual people on sight. If they knew them, they’d come out. If someone walked in the door all the way across the livingroom that they didn’t know, they’d hide. I had to give them up after my relationship ended as I had nowhere to keep them, and I cried so hard.

Hubby and I set up a predator tank and want to add a little Skeletor. One day though I hope to do this again, set up a huge system and have another Tesselata. They are so beautiful. ♥️

I scored a female dragon eel from a LFS. Some idiot put her on hold and basically left her homeless. So they got pretty desperate trying to find her a home. I got her for $500 out the door, and she’s 100 percent on frozen food, she even ate today. She’s gotten very comfortable, I absolutely love this Eel

She feeds on krill very well the only thing I need a little bit a help with is should I feed her a couple Krill day “ she runs right to the top when I feed the fish“ or just feed her big meals every three days or so

Krill isn't a staple food. It's not too nutritious. I feed my eel lots of different things. Frozen silverslides are better than krill. As are clams.

How do you know it's a "she?" How can you tell on a dragon eel?
