I built my own cabinet using plywood. I didnt like having it under or on the side of the aquarium stand as water and salt will always manage to get to it.

No fancy controllers only diy and timers.

I finished organizing some of the wiring. Making it look nicer and up to code will be next time.

Thank you guys for legitimize all the mess I made. :rolleyes:
I just wanted to organize my cables since I can't stand the look of it. Now it seems acceptable. :slightly-smiling-face:

My biggest dilemma was the wavemaker cables. If I hide the excess cables, and run them staight and tight, then they would cause issues when I need to move them, for example to take out for cleaning. I might let them lay on the floor behind the sump.

I suspect any reefer worth their salt has a similar situation to you... a rat nest of cables pushed out of sight. lol
Honestly though, nicely trained cables are a challenge in this game. The second i'd have everything laid perfectly a pump would go or a reactor would have to be employed. So instead I just stuck with the out of sight out of mind.
My thoughts exactly! My mess of cords is hidden from view.
