Should I have done it without water in the tank?Sorry for going backwards here, but I just noticed and have a question...
Why do they look like they're holding their breath?? You didn't do this with water did you? Lol
I do love the wall of rocks! Did you glue all the rocks together?8’ 240 gallon, old school wall of rocks. More places for corals, lotsa caves for fish. Never a fan of NSA, but to each his own.
Yours is beautiful! That’s definitely what I see in my head when I think of a reef in the wild.No glue, that's the beauty of the wall. Fit them together and balance it right, gravity will do the rest. And able to change scape or pull any rock.
I wish, That wasn't my tankYours is beautiful! That’s definitely what I see in my head when I think of a reef in the wild.
Nope. All live rock. Just balanced on each other.I do love the wall of rocks! Did you glue all the rocks together?
Lol, thanks.Ah my apologies haha. @JGT yours is beautiful!
I don’t think my current scape will hold up very long
They always do...and it doesn't stopWaiting on a canopy to be finished. That will keep the outlet protected. Still may put an outdoor cover on. The 3 kids would take way more maintenance than I’m willing to put into the tank haha.
Very unique looking aquascape! Here’s my aqua scape for my 6 ft and a pic of it when it was in my 4 ft tank. It was originally in my 4 ft but I upgraded and wanted something very minimal. I will potentially add a third Island for more hiding spots and LPS.
I know they are inevitable. Hoping that with the right dip I can keep them at bay!Looks like trouble in the long run. You might have to fend off boyfriendcanthus teenageri. I heard they're an invasive species.
lol
Thanks for the feedback!! I have read through your build thread more than once.Probably going to tear down and reset my reef this winter. This was my tank reset in February 2018. Pic below.
Man I used way to much Real Reef Rock by Caribsea. Now that the tank is grown out, It's really obvious now, way too much rock !!!!! NO room for coral growth. Lesson learned the hard way
