I just thought—is it at all possible to rearrange my rocks to accommodate a BTA for my clowns? They’re currently hosting my torch coral which I don’t entirely care for, given how finicky they can be. Can it be done, or are BTA’s not very good for the 13.5 gallons?

BTAs can get pretty big. As in 10 to 12 in in diameter big. But also, you might make the perfect spot in your mind for a BTA, and it’ll wander around and pick its own spot which isn’t at all what you want. Anemones travel. BTAs seem to do it more than others, which means you can’t really have any say in here it ends up.

as far as suitability for a 13.5 I can’t say

Does anyone have experience with caribsea frag rubble? I’ve read a few poor reviews and just want to make sure it’s worth the money and will be good for long-term aquascaping.

I got the frag rubble today! It’ll come in handy for building large archways and tunnels that my current scape lacks.
I plan on beginning the rescaping tomorrow. It will probably be a multi-day thing because I want to take it slow and plan each step carefully.

Pretty nice looking rubble.
I was very pleasantly surprised, because I read many mixed reviews on the product. It came with a lot more than I expected and there’s a lot of really unique shapes.

The only issue I foresee is gluing them together. I may have to do that a day or so in advance of me actually rescaping the tank, so that the structures harden.

I vote rescape. I think @zalick has some sound ideas. We've all been through a scape collapse and it is not fun. I'm drilling my rocks when I transfer to the new DT. We'll insert fiberglass rods for security - then glue the suckers. I'm all for flexibility and design liberty - heck, that's my job - but form must follow function. If it can topple - time to go back to the drawing board.

Yep, I agree. Currently in the shopping phase of 2 new tanks. My big boy for the pinnatus batfish and I was informed we need a jellyfish tank. Fun down the road

I just finished creating some small structures. I didn’t actually rescape today, but I played around with the rubble and got a sound idea on what I’m going to do. The entire project will probably be finished on Sunday. My lfs is having a Memorial Day sale, so I may go and check out some frags, in which case I’d build my structure around the new additions.

That's actually some pretty good looking rubble. Really like the shell piece

I am impressed with this. A lot more and better pieces than I expected. Very good value. I highly recommend for anyone looking to make a nano or pico scape.

I’m really pleased with the result. I think this scape adds more depth, and accomplishes the goal of creating more room for coral. I’ll have to wait for things to open up to determine if it retains the busy vibe that it used to. I’m not done with the frag rubble, and intend to add more arches and to more with the front. I haven’t glued anything, because I’d love to hear your thoughts/ideas!
