The Marco cement arrived along with some caribsea rock. I have secured the base and am starting to build up further along with adding some more rock down low to build outwards. The reef tree I have up top will definitely help me climb higher. To the right of it I plan to add some more arches to meet up with it as well. Curious on whether folks think there is enough empty space down low? Am I adding too much? I want there to be plenty of space for corals and also for fish to hide as well.

How tall is it again? I would go probably 2/3 the height. Don’t forget to add a lot of shelves. Your future corals will thank you later and it adds a lot of dimension overall.

Nice tank! I’m sure it’ll look awesome when it’s done. Out of curiosity could you technically swim in it since it’s pretty tall and wide?, not that you should tho

Yes, you can swim in it. In fact to clean it I do get inside and swim. I have to keep that in mind as I create the rockscape on the right side. I will need room to get in and out of the tank.

I think it's coming together well. Thoughts?

Where do I stop? I have more rock and can build up some more arches. I just don't want to overdo it. When is too much here?
It looks good! Plenty of hiding space for fish! Not sure when it's too much but personally I'd like to leave some swimming space for fish.

Wow that looks much better than the piles, now we are talking! I would build the right side up higher. Has either of those hit the halfway point yet? You are going to need some serious punch to get down there. Check out @14 foot reef frag tank lights these may be something that will work for you.

I have to be careful on the right side. It's where I climb in and out. I have to give myself the space to continue doing that. The left is up to about the 2/3 to 3/4 mark. Don't think it needs to go much higher. Really, the question is do I need to add more arches side to side to build more upwards or should I leave more open space up there for light?

You might want to consider another piece of Carib sea rock, a 24” plateau. That would give you a good base to build on and would create an arched structure at the same time.
I just removed one from my tank as it was really too big but one would be great for your tank.

looking good...so much better than the pile you had...maybe you can glue a Free floating shelf or two to the sides. Brace it with wood or something till it dries.

I think I'm ready to call this done.

Haha the previous pictures do it no justice. The scale with you in it shows how massive this thing is
