We bought this tank a year ago. We had had small freshwater tanks before and my daughter had a betta tank. We were interested in getting a new tank and my husband was interested in saltwater but I was scared of them. The guy at the lfs convinced me that it wasn’t any harder than maintaining a freshwater tank other than mixing salt I guess that is true if you never knew how to properly care for a freshwater tank either. All I can say is that getting into the hobby has been a big learning curve but I’m so glad I did it! I always thought that coral were boring and just like plants, I couldn’t have been more wrong. So far in the tank I have:
- 2 clowns
- 1 polka dot hermit
- 2 blue legged hermits
- a few trochus and cerith snails
- 2 anemones (we had 1 but it split yesterday!)
- pulsing xenia
- gsp
- bright green palys
- zoa (not sure what the name is, they are brown and pink)
- waving hand
- blue mushroom
Upgrades:
- inTank media basket
- Tunze 1312 ATO
- Jebao SW-2 wave maker
We are still using the stock light and pump
