Fluval Evo 13.5 currently 1 ocellaris clown and 1 small porcupine puffer 8 hermit crabs (mixed species) 10 snails (mixed species) 1 emerald crab, 1 fat sea hare, copepods (too many ) 17lbs live rock No protein skimmer and the back is completely loaded with mechanical and bio filtration media even though my tank is in direct sunlight my clean up crew does a pretty good job at keeping algae at bay this is a (new to saltwater) starter tank for me so probably no corals in the future can everyone tell me there thoughts on my current live stock ?

Looks good! If you did want to join the coral addiction I would recommend some softies like toadstool or mushrooms or gsp would be great in a 13.5, as for live stock I personally think that’s way too small for the puffer and the sea hare needs an abundance in algae to be really happy. The puffer will get way too big very fast and eat your CUC so I would advise to re home if possible

I have a 180, 125, a 60 gallon and a 32 gallon biocube and 6 other 5-40 gallons as well, the 125 I’m going to set up as a grow out for some of the bigger fish and the 180 will be my reef setup when I have enough knowledge. I’m changing over from freshwater coming to the dark side

Amazing! Welcome to the dark side(the wallet destroyer) :rolling-on-the-floor-laughing: the puffer will be amazing to have in the larger tanks! Ask away at any questions you have about reefing and have fun!!
