What size pump do you think would work best with that reactor @Scurvy?
I would say anything from 100 to 300gph I used a maxijet 1200 i believe and dialed it back some with the ball valve.

That one!
I dont remember the details on it but i think your bouncy house was on the right track.. Probably pumping warm air into to keep him loose in cold weather.
Or he’s got a few of his linemen in there with him.

Was planning on bare bottom.... Currently have 2 sand dwellers. I have two wrasse dens/caves that I was going to fill with sand and see if they took to them BUT Im beginning to think I want a sand bed.

Just cant get used to the bare bottom look and I know Ill want to add a couple of Leopards down the line.

I really wanted to emulate the BRS/WWC tanks as best I could. I also really love my wrasses.

I can understand the want to go bare bottom, but I'm a sand guy. I like seeing sand in a tank. ;);)

I think Im ultimately a sand guy too though a bunch of encrusting corals grown over the bottom might change that.

My love of wrasse simply outweighs everything else at this point so im going to pull the trigger on some special grade and call it a day.
That is supposedly the best in a high flow tank and high flow is something im considering a MUST have in this tank.

I’ve had good luck with the tropic Eden sand and it not moving around! Premium aquatics keeps it in stock.
I used Tropic Eden Reef Flakes in my 40 but it still piled in corners. Love the sand overall but am afraid it’ll get pushed around with these WAV’s.
This is turning into the hardest decision ive had to make yet!

The guy with the nicest acro tank in the Charleston group, has a sand bed. Too many beneficial critters we can't see live there, plus my leopards like their bed... once I rinsed the crap out of it, my ocean direct sand doesn't move. I think a good mix of medium and coarse grains help the sand stay in place. Although, I do need to upgrade my power heads.
