Put a fresh sediment filter in the RODI unit.
I change out the sediment each July and refresh the rest every January as a best practice approach. Nothing is ever exhausted but seems like a good idea.
How often do you have to change the resin

Stripper stress? Sorry about your Strawberry Shortcake Fudsey. Despite your frustration, I learned something from it. I had no idea a gorg would do that!
Happily or unhappily depending on how we look at it no stripping here overnight!

Killed the filter around 9pm. I had enough and wasn't risking a hard zero.

Just once a year in January. I swap them all at once. Im lucky in that I have 4 TDS before DI so it lasts seemingly forever. I went two years before replacing anything until deciding that probably wasn't best considering the unknown of whats potentially sneaking through.

Have you noticed any differences since adding the nudis?

Nothing concrete as of yet other than feeling like there’s less of them on the left side of tank which is where I added them.

How it went for me the last time was just waking up one day after a few weeks and realizing half had disappeared. Im right around 3 or 4 weeks now so since adding them so hopefully I see the reduction starting soon.

I had been wanting to lower the lights from 14” above the water down to 10ish. When I measured a little while ago I was actually 16” above the water. So I lowered the white channel of the LEDS from an 80% peak down to 40 and dropped the lights down to 11” inches above the water line. I must have measured from the glass the last time and think thats why my height was off.

Anyway I get much more appealing blue look to the tank now and will take some par measurements with the seneye here a little later. Definitely doesn’t look as washed out as it did :)

@HolisticBear I know Ive seen your Orphek profile posted elsewhere but would you mind sharing a screen shot of it here when you have some time?

I dropped my fixtures down to 11” above the water line and cut out about half of channel 1’s intensity but I'm curious how it compares with yours.

I run the coral growth program at 73%. I didn't change the times nor program, just dropped the peaks from 100% to 73%. I tried going to 76%, but something wasn't happy and I backed off.

I would prefer something a little less blue in the evening & morning, but haven't tried changing the program. There is nothing in the top 7inches of my aquarium (26" tall), but the gyres at 2" below surface need to be vinegared monthly to strip the coralline

Thanks! For me there was a reddish period in the default programs I tried. Evening color during ramp down had an hour or two that had a reddish hue vs a bluer look.

Another round of tests.

Alk - 7.7 Stable
PO4 - .03 Happy

Some shots for posterity. Lost a little color from a few pieces with the commotion and mounting but solid PE on everything!

Do I see a longnose hawkfish!

Tank is starting to look good again. The yellow tang with the PBT look good together
Yep. The Long Nose survived the plague.

I love the Blue and Gold Contrast of the two tangs.

Way to hang tough cory... and the perseverance pays off. Everything looks content and growing well.

Nice pics and thanks for the update. That long nose is a trooper!

I am loving how good it looks!
Thanks Brother! Im getting more and more happy with it by the day!

Had my first possible casualty yesterday. Delayed a day on breaking out the Seneye after making the lighting changes and had the Cali Tort start to RTN.

Par was around 600 on the top of most of the rock work. Got it down to a peak of 460 on the highest peaks/milli mountain and 280/340ish middle areas then 150 on the bottom glass.
