1. Yesterday when I got home from work I noticed that a chalice coral frag that is unmounted drifted over on top of my little scoly and pretty much melted about half of him. I'm not sure what to do to help him recover.

2. I picked up a couple baby plate corals that came off a skeleton at my LFS and both frags had the baby plates connected back to back. I thought one of them would unattach from the skeleton piece but that hasn't happened in the 5 or so months I've had them. Now, it seems like the top edges of the plate are kind of connected on both sets of frags. Can someone help with tips on this? Should I bury one half? If I need to take a photo for a better visual I'll do that when I get home from work.

rt one pair and it didn’t go too well. The stem of the bigger one became unattached to the plate. It was awful. I felt terrible - it slimed a lot. It tried to stick it back together and rested the two parts in a little shell with sand in the bottom. The picture from this morning show the pieces being protected by a coral feeding thing.

I need someone’s experience here please.

For the scoly, keep it in a good spot in the tank where it won't be bothered. Try to feed it a pellet or piece of mysis (pellet may be easiest) and see if it eats it. If it eats, great. Do this every day while it recuperates.

Thank you! Maybe I’ll put it in with the little plates. A little acrylic hospital.

Update on plate coral: I decided to super glue the plug and stem back into the plate and about an hour later I checked and he had his widdle tentacles out. I really hope this works for real.
