This is my minimal aquascape using a chisel and round rocks cut then all rock is glued in 2 sections. (I kknow shelf rock would be better but this was free)
It's not fancy but do you think it will work okay?
I use aragonite sand and Nyos cement with cyanoacrylate(someone was saying thin starbond cyanoacrylate glue does not work and I can say for sure it works very well)

Very cool! Put some light over the tank and check for shadows. I have spires in my tank like that (mine are pretty tall.). They do create some shadow areas as well as some flow challenges for me at least.

The rockscape looks great. Once the tank is full of coral things will look very different. Make sure you have room on the sides (and back) to keep the glass scraped and clean even once coral grows in.

The closest is 3in but 4-5 would probably be more adequate don't you think?

Yes, I think 3" works great. That also allows you to mount drag racks and move them around for cleaning pretty easily. I wish I could have even more empty space on the side and back but that reduces coral mounting area.
