Hello! I have a 35g cube and I tried to make my aquasqape with marco rock using the sodium bicarbonate and Cyanoacrylate super glue method. I didn't want to buy baking soda and I had some nyos alkalinity laying around so you probably know what I used... I thought It was pure sodium bicarbonate but I didn't read the bottom line.

Now I have almost all boulders glued together and I don't know If I should place them in the tank (I am afraid that it could buff my alkalinity too much (I used almost half of the 1kg cup). Is alkalinity without coral even important?) ).

What do you all think???

I didn't make enough rock dust to not use bicarb. I tried smashing the rocks, drilling into them but after an hour of work I only had small boulders and a glass of dust.

Does this method work? Did I do right? Will the mixture break after a while?

Thanks in advice, I'm attaching a photo of the jar and the joins.

Sorry If I made mistakes I'm not good at English.

I don't have a direct answer, but I'd say if you put a sample in a 5 gallon bucket of tank water with a pump or aerator and a heater, you could test your alkalinity (and any other parameters) to see what the effect is.
