Rebuilding a pump at work this week, it is slightly bigger than the pumps we use in our aquariums. 700 hp electric motor 65 million gallon a day flow rate at 95 feet of head pressure. We have 6 others identical to this one.

Added two clownfish today. They were in a friends qt tank and he decided to go a different direction so I offered to buy them. My son decided there names should be Bobba Fett and Aura Sing.
Nice aura sing, lotsa people don’t know about the expanded universe now that Disney has discontinued it (grumble)
Nice looking setup you have. Just curious on what elbows you used to connect your gate valve. Looks you took 45s and chopped them in half. Currently in the middle of plumbing my tank.Used all 1 inch red pvc from BRS to plumb with a Herbie overflow.
Those are 45 street elbows, they fit over the pipe on the big end and slide into the gate valve on the smaller side.Nice looking setup you have. Just curious on what elbows you used to connect your gate valve. Looks you took 45s and chopped them in half. Currently in the middle of plumbing my tank.
Thanks for the reply. New to plumbing and first time plumbing a tank, these might come in handy in my current plumbing endeavor. Those are 45 street elbows, they fit over the pipe on the big end and slide into the gate valve on the smaller side.
Thank youIt's looking great Barret!

The tank should come drilled with 3 holes. Yes all my plumbing is 1 inch. The pvc glues directly to the bulkheads. I would be happy to help you figure out what parts you needHi Barrett,
How is the tank doing?
I am looking at buying the SCA 50 PNP as well and want to "copy" your plumbing setup.
I've never plumbed a tank so I am a little confused. Can you help explain how the bulkheads are connected to the PVC pipe?
From the SCA website "Bulk head connectors (1/2" return, 1" drain) "You can request extra bulkhead in Standard SCH40 size for free"
So how are all of your PVC pipes 1 inch? I assume I can tell SCA to drill a third hole for me for a Herbie setup.
Any chance you can help me figure out what PVC parts to buy? Sorry for the noob questions but I just want to make sure I understand the exact adapters and what not I will need.
