My daughter loves the tank and loves to help me pick out corals, she even helps getting corals ready to go into qt.

Added a few more corals from qt today, it’s really starting to fill in. Added a Duncan, Toxic splatter hammer, ultra green torch a couple acans, and what I believe is a favia that was a freebie.

The tank is looking good Barrett, you've got some great corals to watch grow! That favia has some great contrast that will be really cool to see it grow out.
Thank you I am really enjoying the colors, it’s hard to get the true colors on my iPhone but it is a neon green and purple, my kids call it blueberry pie.

I noticed tonight one of my acans has 4 or 5 babies under the larger heads, it’s pretty exciting to think about what it will look like as it gets bigger. If you look closely at the right side you can see one of the babies.

And of course I can never do anything around the tank without Sandy being right in the front watching me.

just looked through your thread everything looks great. just got back into the hobby after a 6 year leave. i am cycling a 43 gallon rimless right now. i have always always loved the diamond goby both for personality and their cleaning ability. i previously had 2 of them jump out of my 150 long. i would love to have one in my new 43. any tips on how to keep them from jumping? i would really hate to put a screen on my tank.

Thank you so much for checking out my thread, the diamond goby has to be one of my favorite fish now, so much personality although she can be a pain in the butt when it comes to burring stuff in sand. She jumped out of my qt tank and I found her completely dry stuck to the floor, but saw her gills move, put her bank in the qt and moved her back and forth for 10 mins and she swam out of my hand like nothing happened, I think keeping stress down and making sure they are well feed helps, but I run a diy screen top on my tank and unless you are looking at it from above you can’t even tell it is there.

Update time I have added a few more corals, a Cali tort, Miami hurricane chalice, a long tentical Duncan, ORA green birds nest, a green with purple tip hammer, a purple with green spot octospawn, a green and purple acan and two freebies I am not sure what they are. As always here are some pictures taken using the Aquarium Camera 2.0 app.

When doing a little maintenance tonight which ticked off my large Duncan I notice almost every head has 2-3 small heads at the bottom of the fleshy part, I guess it is very happy in my tank, also noticed my frog spawn is splitting heads again.

Some beautiful pieces you have there! Question my acan sends out feeder tentacles every morning around 8-9 am when the lights are off. When I’m home to feed which is rare at that time it eats like a pig. Do you have any luck training your corals to eat and send out feeder tentacles when your ready to feed ? I’ve been trying with no luck

Yes I add polyplab’s polyp booster and feed my fish about 10 min before I feed my corals and everyone gets there feeder tentacles out and devours my reef roids or mysis when I feed them, with acans you can also squirt them with a little food to wake them up then feed them in about 5-10 min.

Sweet I’ll have to try that once I actually get some fish in there hahaha
