Yup, could definitely be a interesting season this year. I wonder if we'll have any worse than last year. Hopefully not, otherwise south Florida may sink

Started an Evo 13.5 and decided to go with Tampa Bay Saltwater for live sand and live rock. Definitely worth it. Even though air freight was almost as expensive as the order itself.

There’s a ton of life on the rocks and in the sand. I can’t wait to check it out at night and see what comes out.

I’ve seen a gorilla crab and a whelk so far. Only negative hitchhikers I’ve seen. Everything else far outweighs the few unwanted hitchhikers I’ll have.

There are even some nice surprises on one rock.

Congrats! I have an Evo too and went with Gulf Live rock. Best decision I made!

Yeah 8-1-23 we shall see. Problem becomes other shippers being able to absorb the 24 million packages ups ships per day...perhaps creating another debacle

Yeah I figure they will go up. You'll also probably start seeing more locker style pick-up locations. UPS pickup locations. You'll have to pay a premium for to your door delivery.

wouldn't mind the locker if it was temperature controlled.

I actually think at $45 shane probably loses money on some orders. Even with shipment partnerships, I'd think most 10lb+ for overnight would be over $45.

Yeah I don't really want to get into it, almost deleted my comment. But it is true.

On the other hand, I'm quite happy with my family and aquariums. We should all be able to afford the happiness in our one lifetime.

I do ship and it's expensive. Shane foes ship with a looot of water and the shipping companies will charge by weight. He is at least $70 per bix shipped. I have done it and it's not cheap at all.

If ups goes on strike we will use FedEx we ship all our corals on oxygen and anybody who has gotten it delayed by 1 day has reported mostly that the corals arrived well. We also won't ship Mondays or Thursday so it will be Tuesday and Wednesday. No biggie here

I’ve actually used all of the Big Three. KP, Gulf LR and Tampa Bay. My 60 has rock from mainly GLR and KP and the real LiveRock in the nano is combo of Tampa and GLR as well as a few pieces of CaribSea LifeRock

If it was your business, would take less? Would you be willing to take money out of your bank account, your kids college fund, your Retirment account so that someone else could buy goods a few pennies cheaper? I know we would all probably say yes when asked the question without the possibility of having to follow through, but once you own a business the decisions become a lot harder.

Yeah it's out of my price range. I have been plenty happy with the Gulf rock.
