I hadn't seen it anywhere in the tank yet. Until I cleaned the overflow tonight, it came out with some of the Bryopsis and other algae around the top of the overflow. I'll keep an eye out for it too. I know I have a little bubble algae, but not worried about that. My emeralds keep it in check very well. Only place it's visible is on top of my gyres lolThat's the kind that I had in my tank. Keep an eye on it - none of my fish would touch it.
I love when i see bubble algae pop up in the reef but it never survives when i move it to the macro tankI hadn't seen it anywhere in the tank yet. Man, I love when people start plumbing through walls. That's what I did and it warms my heart to see others not afraid to do it!Here is a pictorial of the system. RO/DI reservoir in the garage with pump for water transfer to the saltwater storage and to cycle the saltwater 24/7. The two rolling Brute bins are to collect the refuse water and use it for plants. The black line that looks like it’s coming out of the RO tank actually comes through the wall from Apex to remove saltwater from the DT.
Saltwater reservoir is in a closed behind the DT with a line running to Apex for AWC.
After the gas prices went up and shipping costs got even higher, that's when most companies started dropping free shipping as prizes, and I get it. When you're sending out 100 boxes per sale, that adds up quick, and is probably the biggest pain point for both customers and vendors in this hobby. Yet, it's unavoidable. You make some really good points! It almost sounds like "free shipping" shouldn't exist at all.
One piece of the puzzle that hasn't been talked about is the "value" of engagement. R2R is a great platform for vendors to attract people into a thread and get them to talk about your product, which ultimately drives revenue. After all, if people are engaged, they are more likely to make purchases. Additionally, higher engagement keeps the thread visible to the R2R audience and draws in new shoppers. Certainly, businesses in other industries spend money to stay relevant and draw in new customers but this cost is usually baked into the cost of the products. This begs the question of why the costs of the games, prizes, and discounts aren't baked into the overall cost of the products so that they don't risk hurting the vendor.
What do you think about the "value" of engagement?
Beautiful. You don’t get to see such clear blue sky like that here in Florida. Always hazy here. If you have 7 miles visibility it’s a good day.
Thats why i live out in the woods. Other than the occasional loud redneck diesel or the neighbors atvs all i hear is the birdsWatching the news this morning and they showed an areal shot of Los Angeles freeways at 04:30AM. My goodness. I lived in Orange County for a while where the 5 and 405 interstates merged. Could never get away from the constant hum of the highways. Much nicer here where more people run around in golf carts than cars. A quieter life.

Shut up stupid birds! I’m trying to listen to the beautiful hum of the highway!
I have a fox that cackles every morning.Right. I grew up on a farm outside a small town just south of you. Cleburne. Get up in the morning and hear nothing but bull frogs, morning doves and an occasional coyote howling in the distance. That was the good life.
