But hidden behind the tank. :grinning-face-with-sweat: Urdu it boards are attached to the back of the cabinets to the left. My walk around is right of the tank.

Bought. Very expensive because I had to special order the dimensions. This was my retirement hobby and I didn’t worry about costs to much. My daughter gets everything when I fly west and she already has more than I ever did. I get to spend what i want.

I still like the limits that you lift on the last few hours. Spread some of the good cheer around

I like the limits on 1/5s. To me, the simplest fix is limit the 6s to a max of say two per person with no other restrictions. That let’s more people compete for them and everyone is still in the game. As far as the use of GCs and shipping, I think that should go to Shane’s discretion. He alone has to determine what he can give and still stay alive as a business.

I like the pairing of a discount with another one worth at least 25. we all want to get good stuff cheap, but unless we are supporting the people that support our hobby...they stop supporting the hobby.

this seems strange to me, the business should be set up such that it is very difficult to lose money. If too many GC are being used, give away less GC. If the coral is too cheap, increase the price of the coral. If he's losing money on shipping, don't offer free shipping.

As customers, we don't have visibility into the actual costs associated with the business. All we see are products we can buy and terms/rules for when we engage. If that's not sustainable, then it makes sense for there to be a change.

this goes back to the generosity discussion. $1/$5/$6 corals isn't a matter of him being generous, it's business. This is his business and he needs it to be sustainable and we want to support him in doing so.

Are the 165w good? I know @billyocean runs the T300 viparspectra the 300w version which is discontinued. I thought about the viparspectras, but wasn't sure how good the 165's actually were.

ahh i good idea might be no limit to 1s and 5s but they all have to be paired with a 25er
I’ve been involved in live sales from at least one other vendor that does basically that. Except there were no $1 corals, lowest being $5. I still only picked up like 3. I still like the idea of limits overall tho.

i have a friend that uses 2 on her 125 and she loves them. i had my heart set on kessils but i just cannot justify spending that much money on lights right now, I'm more than happy to keep running a budget setup.

If yall are willing to throw away all the time and effort of all the corals ypu have put in your tank...then it is what it is. KCL is fine because it doesn't stress the coral and remember all it takes is 1....1 pest could then multiply and wipe out your pride and joy. With every pest free coral you have your odds keep going down from batting 1000...and all ypou need is one in some cases. As much time and money I put in...not worth the risk.
Do you guys float to temp or drip?

The 165w are good, the spread isn't great, you have to hang them high sometimes. I have mine at 18". 4ft 75 gallon tank. But you also get more spillage and loose light. Just have to find what works for you.

I also added a LED bar to the front for fill. I run mine at at 100% blue for 10 hrs and 1% white for 6 hours. At that height my first coral at the top is hit with just over 400par. Without the white is in the 300s.

They are strong, but I also used painters tape on some of the whites as it was a bit much for me.

For the price they are great, grow corals, and look pretty good.

24" spread is the max I would go, I have thought of adding a third to my tank, but the LED bar light even things out enough. Also it's on a trimmer so I get that dusk and dawn lower light just running it.
