What tank?
Billy would tell you to throw 4 Vipar300s over it.Another random question... 70 inch long by 30 inch wide tank. How would you guys light this? I have 32v reefbreeders I can incorporate into the new build. I'm thinking kessil ap9x on each side and the 32v in the middle
I think it should be in my tankWhat everyone think of this
It's a crayola plana. The owner of the greenhouse is giving me 1st crack at it it I want it. BTW I was able to find you a fully encrusted frag of OG purple monsterI think it should be in my tank
I'm a tenuis guy for the multi colors but for what it is it looks great! What everyone think of this
For deeper tank, Kessil A500X is also an optionBilly would tell you to throw 4 Vipar300s over it.
Do you already own the Ap9x?
Factors:
How tall is the tank?
What corals are you planning?
Where is the overflow?
What type of rockscape are you planning?
30 deep is a challenge. You can elect to build your rockscape centered in the tank and run a single row of lights parallel above it. This uses the fewest lights but leaves the front and back in less light. Alternatively you run lights perpendicular and add more.
The RB32 says it provides a coverage area 24x36. The Ap9x says 24x36. You could run them as you describe, especially if tou have an internal center overflow.
Look at the Reefi Uno as an alternate to the Ap9x. I believe there is some cost savings there and those lights are supposed to be excellent.

That sounds like great dimensions for a tank. It's 21.7 inches height wise so good for my short arms haha. I'm planning mostly SPS with maybe some torches towards the bottom. Overflow is external midline, so full tank no internals.
We are building the rockscape this weekend. I'm thinking 3 larger structures with my live rock base in front as islands.
Agreed, the 30 inches is great but makes lighting a challenge. Will look at the reefis for sure. I may add led straps back and front down the line
Has #2 sticker prized been claimed yet?
TBD= baby shark
Does that mean i get bumped up to 4 ?
Im getting so excited, I can barely hold the anxiety down!Does that mean i get bumped up to 4 ?
@SBB Corals . I think it's a great idea. If # 2 is not claimed , you should consider bumping everyone up 1 spot, and spin or something and the person get #5. This is only fairDoes that mean i get bumped up to 4 ?
Then there is this! Wireless internet access (WiFi) is available in all rooms and public areas. deadly, due to all inclusive drinks!@SBB Corals you talked about a new thread. When are you thinking the next sale. If its the 19-26th im out on vacation again.
So are we talking about going around shirtless or convertible cars or what? I’m a little confused……Tommorrow is top down tuesday. Who is getting prepared?
Should work. I’ve got a ReefBreeders Photon v2 32” with the ReeFi on a 48” long tank. I also have a 24” Blue/UV ReefBreeders Lumen Bar attached to the Photon.Another random question... 70 inch long by 30 inch wide tank. How would you guys light this?
