The berry short cake freebie, thing is a CHUNK. I think im going to move it when the hysteria spath comes, and put the spath there. Its about 400 par and directly in front of an mp40 at 100%

Luckily, I stock up on those cirpo and amoxcillin. It's good being a drug pusher in this case
i may have missed the post if you've already mentioned this, but, what are your dipping ratios for both cipro and amox?

There is no dosage for Amoxacillin but i have had luck with 500mg in 120gallon for 5 days if improves the go till 10 days.
Cipro is the same as BJD.
BEWARE

@robanister recommend about 250 in 5 gallons of water. do the math to reduce. 10 min. With the 1st dose, I hit it hard as I used one 250g tablet for a small container. Meat responded well with a stronger dose than recommended

So, starting a new tank...trying to do this one better. I want to create a scape with dry rock and have live rock accents basically to seed. I know the more live rock the better, but I'm using Tampa Bay Saltwater and trying to lessen costs

I was just going to ask if spaths needed extra high flow. Sounds like they do.

I will need to check but I currently have my MP40s set to a max of 35%. PE looks good but I did lose 2 SPS last week - one died from tips in (may have been stung by a torch) the other STN overnight - so maybe related to flow.

Also I now do a KCL and Amox dip for new corals. I do 2 tablespoons kcl and around 100 mg amoxacillin in 1 gallon water. 10-15 min

If you are not looking to create a whole scape with TBS or not wanting all.of the extra life on the premium, maybe look at their base rock selection. Just a few pounds gets you the biodiversity you are looking for.

Do they still do the treasure chest shipped to your house? That's a route I would go as it avoids having to be picked up at the airport.

What about nano size rock added to the sump? Again, just enough to add biodiversity.

In my 6ft 125 i run 2 mp40s at 100% and have a little gyre in the middle at 80% pulse.

I do run the aneneme guards and they do cut down on flow compared to OEM. I neglected cleaning my powerheads recently, the next day my pH was up .04 from the day before. Not sure if that was air exchange related or coral consuming more.

My understanding spaths are super shallow water coral and PAR and flow are necessary. Apparently hard coral to keep alive/not turn brown.
