I have my mp40 with the wide flow limpet position near the top..I like water surface agitation. I have 2 slw30 as backups in case something fails. This arrangement works for me and everyone is happyThat was going to be my next questions - flow. SCP-90 on one side and an SLW-10 on the other currently. Have to run both on lowest setting currently. Really considering an MP10 in place of the SLW-10 or may wait until the slw dies.
Do you center the MP40 on the side?
Is your SCP-180 higher or lower?
Currently have them placed like this:

Does the "wide flow limpet" really change the flow pattern? I thought those were just protection from fish or snails getting sucked in?I have my mp40 with the wide flow limpet position near the top..I like water surface agitation. Haha that's the exact combo I gave to Steve as backup lolI have my mp40 with the wide flow limpet position near the top..I like water surface agitation. I have 2 slw30 as backups in case something fails. This arrangement works for me and everyone is happy
I figure everything is at 30 percent over 5 pumps so if one dies I can just adjust or move the others.Haha that's the exact combo I gave to Steve as backup lol
It's both. It will direct the flow at an outward angle and create more diffuse flow pattern. I find that the undertow is less likely to pull anything onto the powerhead. Widespread, gentle and indirect flow with limpet. Here's a good brs videoDoes the "wide flow limpet" really change the flow pattern? 80lbs..not bad for 80 bucks.
These are the first Jebao pumps for me so not familiar with all the settings. This is what I have now. Good start?I agree with torches higher up. That why I run my jebao scp180 on only 3 pwrnear the torches.
I use w1 mode. My corals like it best. Else too strong for them. I like the w1 for the wavy sway back and forth. Haven't use the H or C modeThese are the first Jebao pumps for me so not familiar with all the settings. This is what I have now. Good start?
I bought the Dr. Strange at this last sale. Very cool colors, similar to a black panther with green/whitish tips that flouresce pretty good in the blues. Significantly nicer in person. (Right)I had the Dr. Strange Torch for mine
I use else on powerheads...haven't ran the gyres yetThese are the first Jebao pumps for me so not familiar with all the settings. This is what I have now. Good start?
