Ya'll have some good acros cooking. It's my favorite part of acros is seeing what they color up like. Everyone has different tanks so things just go in different directions.

Just to keep the conversation going, what do you all find to be the easiest acros? For me it is millis. I don't see how people even lose them, haven't had a single milli die ever, even ones that fall to the sandbed.

I hate snow at this point... my driveway is a good steep hill & about 800 feet long... I spent an hour and a half this morning with a leave blower blowing off 75% of it (~2 in of light powder)... by time i was done it started snowing again... went back out again later and shoveled all of it - including the 1/4" of new stuff... was freezing rain at that point... tossed salt down that took... all that took about 3 hours... hour later after finishing that i had to go back out and toss more salt down cause it was freezing up again...

all because i didn't get one coral order shipping date moved in time and wanted to make sure fedex delivered it today... luckily fedex came by as i was tossing salt down the second time... so everything good... but i'm tired...

Used to have someone to plow driveway but they quit this fall and can't find anyone willing to do the steep driveway...

Tenuis for me, millis are awesome too but the colors of tens are unmatched. Smooth skins are really starting to grow on me however.

I guess stylos aren't technically acros...those things are hard to kill

I feel like all acros are as equally easy as they are particularly hard...not really any rhyme or reason in my tank. I've had multiples of the same acro and one or two has struggled and others were fine...tenuis, mille. Most do fine but some donr and it seems to not matter what the acro is. Speciosa is a finicky one sometimes

I am experiencing this right now. 2 Disneyland - one is fuzzy and growing, the other the polyps are retracted and shows no new growth.
No rhyme or reason sometimes...just how it goes every now and then

How have your phyto culturing adventures come along?
Ehhh they crashed. I dont have a setup to keep stable temp. I gotta do it in my garage. But i just got a bunch of 12w jolly heaters and plastic bags they will fit in. Going to try to drop a little heater in a plastic bag in the vessel and see if i can keep temp a little more in their range (above 45 degrees when the lights are off). I just set up three cultures of copepods and am in the process of clearing out space to set up a home depot shelving unit that i can line with foam and hopefully house 3 setups of pods and 6 vessels of phyto. Hoping with having all those in a semi insulated enclosed space i can keep temps more regulated. Orr i might just turn it into a rust box with the trapped humidity lol.

K, let me know if you need culture starters again.
