Possible screw or nail or other metal fastener dropped in the system somewhere during construction?

Any nearby old pipes maybe dropping rust dust into system?

Source water?

Bad salt?
Tin is used to stabilize pvc. may need to ride it out and waterchanges? I would also ask what is above it and does it have lids. where is the tank located...basement?

It's in the garage but no chemicals stored there.

Need some help or ideas. Have a buddy that made a big new system for corals/propagation. He lost a lot of stuff due to high levels of tin and aluminum. All new equipment and he's checked magnets, impellers and anything else he can think of. He doesn't have any bio bricks or anything like that. Cupeisprb will take it put but it rises again aver the course of a couple weeks. Any thoughts or ideas?
What kind of sump? And a new skimmer correct?

There's no such thing as a hot water heater. I'll ask about the garage door..good idea.

I'll ask what sump and skimmer.

Is it mounted on a snail?
Hahaha! Nah these are dome mounts. Just started using them for sps- they rock for euphyllia. My theory is the downward slop will encourage centered upward growth.

No cars...lol.that would be funny though. Like....bruhhhh...you're parking a diesel in here and letting it warm up in the morning
Think my final and last thought is fans? Like a large shop fan or something like that.

I would be worried about something in the sand or rock (nail, screw, or metal shavings), hard to see or find, or bad batch of salt. I think something hiding in the rock or sand most likely, may have come that way from the source or dropped something.

Maybe its small enough that it will dissipate in time? So difficult to nail these things down especially if its a big system. I had a rusted up stainless steel hose clamp (i used to use them cause i didn't think it was a big deal) i found that had probably been in there for many years, but didn't really seem like it was hurting anything. I did remove/replace it when i noticed it though.

Season 2 Shut Up GIF by Paramount+

During shipping we are going to run 2 things

1) we will do an unboxing contest for a $250 Gift card.

The rules are simple you need to do a video unboxing of the corals. This video will become part of a video serios testimonial on our website. In order to enter the video has to be a utube video. Has to state your name and show your face at the beginning. You will basically show a video of the unboxing receiving the corals in bags, the show them in your tank ect. Tag us here so we don’t miss it. Each entry will give you a chance at a win spin for the $250 gift card

2) we are doing a random sticker prize reveal. Every order will get a free sticker. and 5 lucky winners will have a number written on the sticker. It can be number 1-5. Whoever gets 1 will get prize 1 and be able to pick the prize 1st. and 2 gets 2nd ect all the way up to 5. So the winner will get a sticker with a number on it which will become your tank for picking one of the 5 prizes. As you get the sticker you need to tag us here and show your sticker number. We will reveal the prized later in this thread once all boxed are received.

Good luck everybody and we can’t wait to see what you get!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
