What size is your current tank?
65 Gallon. Had it as a freshwater tank first, then it sat in storage for about 6 years... Finally moved it from Arkansas to Florida earlier this year and got it going about 6 months ago. Mainly to test the waters, now I'm hooked and looking at upgrading. Found a few 100–120-gallon tall tanks. I think that's what I'll be looking for, a 48"L 100+gallon.

The 48"x24" is nice

Going to go with Glass cages
How large? I've seen a couple of 75-150 gallon rimless tanks of theirs here in Houston and I thought they were nice! I've thought about having a 72"x24"x12" rimless built by them but then a local reefer sold me theirs for $500. It's in great condition and I couldn't pass up a deal like that!

I'm just hoping to get better at growing corals out, really hoping to get the acros to grow finger crossed
Chemistry (emphasis on nutrients), flow, then lighting. Those are the priorities!

GAME REMINDER
NEW YEAR TRIVIA

View attachment 2949807

Let's start things off with a one of my favorite games! It's trivia time! For this game, I will post a New Year related trivia question every hour, on the hour. The first person to answer the question correctly gets a point. After ten rounds, the person with the most points wins FREE SHIPPING!!!

In the event of a tie, the person that scored first wins. Good luck!

Yeah, I think that's what I'm leaning towards. The 48x24x24 or the 48x24x30. For 120/150 gallons.
I wouldn't recommend more than 24" in height for a tank of that size. Wider is better than taller when it comes to aquascaping, it's easier to service, plus it adds more swimming space. That extra 6" of height is just an inconvenient way to add water volume.

What are y'alls 2023 tank resolutions?

Mine is to finish my fish room expansion asap and finally get some breathing room.
Get my stupid alkalinity under control and get some detectable phosphates without getting too high...

Good to Know! I was curious about that also. Our 65-gallon is 24" and it's a pain to get to the bottom when needed. I can only imagine if it was 30". So, I guess that make up that decision lol

96x24x25 or 96x30x25
Preferably the 30" wide but will have to do some convincing. It's either 240 gallons or 300. Don't want to manage more than 300 gallons

You'd be much better off with 48"x30"x24" than 48"x24"x30". That extra 6" from front to back allows a lot more play and creativity when it comes to aquascaping. Plus, it allows more real estate to put corals. Height doesn't add real estate, just water volume. Not to mention, with more height you'll need more/stronger lights than a shorter tank.

24W is tough. If I were you, I'd rather make it one foot shorter then add that foot back to the width. My dream tank is 72x36x24, which is a solid 240 gallon tank.

Mine is to use my quarantine 10 gallon as a grow out tank and to start to recoup some of this end of year spending. It's been a snowball since the black Friday sales.
