We've done all the testing and calibration fluids on three different testing kits. They all came back closer to apex then hanna. It explains why we had no color or just green on a lot of corals. With alkalinity back at 8.6 I see color already coming back just in two weeksI'd look up Trident and Alk reading FYI. Trident reads lower than Hanna if you weren't aware
I checked when you guys were talking about this in the thread. It is the 772s. and we have started keeping it refridgerated.Refrigerate the reagent and make sure it's 772s reagent not 755s reagent
What was it?

I don't know, that's me looking for it lolWhat was it?
Weird... Mine's the opposite... No color or green with Alk above 9 and no phosphates. Brought my Alk down from 10.1 to 8.9 and started dosing NeoPhos and I'm starting to see better PE and some color coming back. We've done all the testing and calibration fluids on three different testing kits. Wow that took forever to load all the photosYou all got alot of corals and must have some huge huals lol. Can't wait to see you guys post what you got![]()
Or the same, and ~8.5 is a good spot?Weird... Mine's the opposite... No color or green with Alk above 9 and no phosphates. Brought my Alk down from 10.1 to 8.9 and started dosing NeoPhos and I'm starting to see better PE and some color coming back.

In 8.2ishOr the same, and ~8.5 is good spot?
Possibly. I need to bring it down some more but I'm hoping that dosing phosphates it's going to start using some Alk, Calc, and Magnesium.Or the same, and ~8.5 is good spot?
Yeah I prefer closer to 8 (but slightly above), but 8-9 I don't do anything drasticIn 8.2ish
We test with the salifert, red sea, hanna, and now trident. And we bought the calibration fluid for trident and hanna. Hanna was reading over .8 to 1.0 off. We also sent in icp test and waiting results.Great! I know I've been reading on the Tridents a lot. Picked up the A3 pro and looking to get a Trident next. Saw where people were saying Hanna reading 8.4 and Trident reading 6.8-7.2 in a ton of threads. Wasn't sure if it was the same for your situation
Just cant have low nutrients or sps tips will burn easierYeah prefer close to 8, but 8-9 I don't do anything drastic
If it's older and not refrigerated it will be off..plus shake before useWe test with the salifert, red sea, hanna, and now trident. And we bought the calibration fluid for trident and hanna. Hanna was reading over .8 to 1.0 off. We also sent in icp test and waiting results.
I used to sit around 8.3 then my top off water changed without me realizing and I was topping off with 12.4 alk. I need to get an RO, but in the meantime I'm using air and Muriatic acid.Yeah prefer close to 8, but 8-9 I don't do anything drastic
