Shane's liberal use of Chemi-Clean was a tidbit that I latched onto. His vote of confidence made me not as timid to use it when I had an issue arise. Before that, I was too scared based upon threads here where people say it killed everything in their tanks. I have done it multiple times and never lost a thing! Works wonders and corals really open up!
What's your process?

Not proud of it, but I snagged that $1 coral that nobody bloody wanted last night.

As much as I hate green corals because I lived through the 90's and green hilighters were everywhere, I liked that one for no good reason.

What is the fundamental goal of its use? Seems like its specific to cyano?

It's not actually effective against cyano. But does eliminate red-spirulina which is commonly mistaken for cyano.

It is an antibiotic in general, erythromycin.

What's your process?
I follow the directions with regards to the dosage (I scope per 10 gallons). I have a big tank with a lot of fish, so I have have an air pump (Whisper I believe, cheap on Amazon or at big pet stores) that I use to pump in air bubbles to ensure no oxygen depletion. Remove my chemi-pure blue and turn off UV, wait 2 days and then 20% water change.

It really works wonders for some reason.

Got it, so likely RTN/STN or other coral disease mitigation?
