Well my ReeFi light has a defective fan. So I’ve arranged to have a new one sent. I can’t get more than 45-50 watts before it crashes in thermal crisis. Had to pay 480 for new unit to be shipped which will be refunded when they receive the defective unit. What a pain. At least there’s enough light for the Acros to survive with sorta kinda until the new one arrives. Keeping on a mostly blue setting seems to help.

That's kind of messed up. Think if you didn't have that extra $480 because you just bought a lot and upgraded. You have to wait on something that should be covered under warranty because you can't come up with almost $500. A new unit should have been sent when there was confirmation of a defect. You shouldn't have had to come out of pocket, even if it will be refunded. Just my 2 cents. At least you still have some light like you said.

Oh took some tests. Running a few more later. Right now the cube is
pH 8.7
Salinity 1.025
Alk 7 or 10.5 depending on if you believe Hannah or Salifert. I think I’ll run that one more time. But I’m more inclined to believe the Hannah as I retested 3 times. Based on that I added extra 2 part which has gotten a positive response I think.
Mag of 1320. Added some Mag to tank, again with + response.
Intend to run Calcium and Phos tests at least. Probably Nitrate as well.

Oh I fully agree. But it looks like the “company” is a one man show. He offered to send a new fan for me to replace or send the unit back for him to fix. No gos to me. I’m not messing with 500 bucks worth approximately of light on my own.
