There's usually way better waves on the Atlantic..this sucks. The gulf is usually placid

Sometimes the gulf has some pretty good waves. Unfortunately usually shortly followed by hurricane force winds. Bad thing about the gulf is good waves mean serious rip currents.

Indeed..I've caught tropical storm waves that were rediculous. The current is no joke though. Still these were 8-12 foot waves max and I made it out there twice and that was enough. I doubt people have a true appreciation for a 10 foot wave..much less these skyscrapers people actually surf
