Guys I might be too dumb for this hobby. So I get the new light, I set it on the desk to do a firmware update and then start doing tank stuff. Then I started smelling wood burning.

Hey, I’ve done some pretty dumb things myself. Happens to everyone at some point. I mean I destroyed a return pump on the cube that was brand new by pouring water into the back before pulling the plug and wires out where I left them.

Admittedly there was nothing in the tank yet and all that died was the pump. I have an Innovative Marine Mighty Jet in it now. So I was forced to get a much better pump than what was in it just a little earlier than I intended

Nope it’s covered in scratches and super glue. It’s all good. I’m almost positive the light itself if fine. I can be a dummy, but I’m usually not this dumb lol. 2 lights messed up on a week long period. It will be good as new once I swap the covers out. I don’t think I’m taking the mount off the back of the tank very often anymore though lol
