Excellent! It's great! I do 30ml every evening in our 65g. I have 2 bottles, and Ecopack with PNS Yellow snow and Probio, a jar of copepods. Then a thing of coralline algae in the bottle. I love algaebarn! I should culture my own, but I travel to much. I can definitely tell when I'm dosing it, and not just by the glass cleanliness.

Culturing is easy enough, set it and forget it for a week. Take it offline and just refrigerate the phyto if you are out of town too long and restart the culture.

Alright enlighten me. I periodically dump some phyto into my tank all at once but I never took the time to read up on what exactly it’s doing for my tank. A friend brings me some in a 16oz bottle, I shrug, then dump it in. It’s for filter feeders from what I understand, yeah?

Also feeds copepods, if you want more use more phyto.

Yes, but corals with small mouths eat it too. I use it for feeding gonis, zoas (when I mix in a powdered food), or just when I'm mixing frozen for the fishes. I have extra so I dose alot. There is a thread right now where some one is testing if you can overdose, which to be honest is really hard to do. I also think my toadstool leathers eat it. Their polyps are weird so hard to see any eating response.

Yeah that’s what I understood it to be for. Like I said, dumping a 16oz bottle in a 250 gallon system didn’t seem to have any negative effects.

Very cool! I’d love a boat that could go deeper. It’s all shallow hull center consoles down here on the coast. Bay fishing is the big thing. I don’t personally own a boat but my dad has had one my entire life for us to fish on together or take out when I want. His current one is a 23’ Mako. Very nice boat.
