Hard to beat Neptune, they just have all the infrastructure around them.

I agree my concern is they dont seem to be evolving as rapidly as the other brands... so its a matter of go with tried and true, or something cutting edge with faster evolving capabilities

IMO this hobby is all about reliability and consistency. I'd go with knowing something works over bleeding edge with nice to haves.

This is actually the reason I dont have a controller yet.. lol Im afraid ill get complacent if I have one, right now I keep a eye on my tank all the time, but if I have a controller to watch it for me will I just get to a point where I trust it until one day it isnt working right and it kills my tank

This is actually the reason I dont have a controller yet.. lol Im afraid ill get complacent if I have one, right now I keep a eye on my tank all the time, but if I have a controller to watch it for me will I just get to a point where I trust it until one day it isnt working right and it kills my tank

I follow everything up with weekly manual tests to make sure everything is dialed in

It is. Grade 4 is as high as it goes. Technology I'm only qualified to clean the discharge line from the skimmer are the skimmer would fall under the Wastewater Treatment portion I think.
