I feel you on that! I've had some painting I've been putting off forever and trying to convince myself to do it today as my kiddos going to a sleepover and I actually have time.
For me it’s mainly that my apartment is soooo chilly cause it’s old, drafty and on the third floor.it’s like 3 degrees outside with WC of -15 still. Brrrr.

I’ve been watching the temps on the tanks . Reef is at 73 cause it’s so cool in here. At least the it’s supposed to start slowly creeping up later today.

I still cant believe how big these SBB torches are! The photos dont even do the extension justice! Trying out my Orphek lens kit. Wish it came with a little more info on what how where and when to use each lens. Aso the macro lens dowsnt seem to do anything when on yhe phone. It does magnify when just looking through it though.

For real, all mine I got had at least 3 heads and got crazy extension! And I just got the orpheks too and returned it this morning, mine didn't even look magnified when I looked through the lense just crazy blurry.

I got some cool equipment coming for my DSLR and I'll be dropping some hot pictures in here when they are all setup hopefully before next weekend!

Todays tank maintenance day
It should be for me . It’s just too cozy and warm where I am. And now I’ve got a cat sleeping on me. And yes that’s a Christmas tree still up. I’ve been doing so much OT that finding time is like………

This right here is why I haven't bought a torch anywhere else yet. My first torch is going to be an SBB torch!

Well I swapped out all new reagent and ran about 30 tests and I've come to the conclusion that one test kits suck and are wildly inaccurate from test to test. Two, my nitrate reagent for Hanna I had been using for months was bad and giving false readings. And three, my nitrates are indeed above 100 :( phosphates have been steady .1-.2 range but looks like ICP was right and I might be as high as 300. I turn over 100 percent of my water every month so my rocks and substrate must be bleeding out nitrates like crazy from those years of fowlr where I did no water changes

Do you siphon sand and blow out rocks? Have you cleaned the sump? What's your filtration? What are you feeding and how?

Siphon sand weekly, no on blowing rocks but I do have heavier flow. I clean the sump monthly and theres no gunk as of now. I run 4 filter socks, GFO, an appropriately sized skimmer, and two large scrubbers.

I have 3 large fish, two small and feed about the equivalent of 4 cubes a day which isn't much for my size. All food gets eaten (I hand feed the big boys).

I'm not in panic mode because all my coral look happy and have for months but a little surprised to say the least
