So I was so happy my one speciosa I had from Shane was doing awesome... Well last night I was scrubbing rock in the tank and accidentally knocked it off it's rock and it got sucked into my vacuum I was using and broke into a bunch of unusable pieces :(
I would take any small piece that was left and attach it to a frag plug. Maybe you’ll get lucky and some part of it will survive. If there is any flesh left there is a chance. Unless it was literally ground into dust.

Leaving the base on is gives more area to adhere to rocks. And if you mean cut off the stem and just mount it on the flat part..I don't want it to encrusted more..I want it to branch more.
I wonder if in the long run the colony will slow its growth because its foundation is small.

I think the issue is with the suction aspect the polyps got ripped out. I did mount the biggest piece but I don't think it's going to make it. Guess only time will tell

This is sad, but wishing you the best. @billyocean had a frag recover from being buried in the sand, so anything can happen.

I bet you all don't beleave me but this may color up insane. This is how speciosa and these smooth skins come in bone white and take a year to color up

That is incredible. Wouldn't believe that would color up, I'd have written that off as dead.
