Local clubs are the way to go. The internet can be a great tool for learning, but over the years, I’ve seen a lot of the blind leading the blind. Inexperienced people regurgitating what they read but haven’t experienced themselves. When you meet someone in real life, there’s no fudging. You see exactly what they do, and the results.

Also, some of my best friends have come from my local club. People that I never in a million years would have befriended and we rarely talk about reefs.
