Just finished reading through your thread - your tank is a great inspiration to us all! I really like what you’ve done.

Would you mind sharing a little bit about how you get your corals to color up so well with your tank? I’m additionally curious with all of your XR30s how much par you are typically looking to get for your acros? Sorry if you have already answer this.

Thank you very much for the kind words! On my DT I run 6 XR15's down the middle with T5's on both sides of the Radions. I run all blues on the Radions for about 6 hours and AB+ for 6 hours each day. My PAR is around 300 on the sand bed and 500+ at the highest points in the tank. I dose Red Sea Reef Energy A and B at 15ML each per day, and that's about it...

how much siporax are you running in your system and what are your nutrients?
Honestly I haven't kept track of how much is in there now, but It's somewhere around 15 liters of Siporax and Pond Matrix. Nitrate is around 10 and Phosphate is around .08.

Awesome thanks! Any reason/opinion on why people get siporax over pond matrix since pond matrix is a lot cheaper?

For me it was because I didn't know about Pond Matrix. Since finding out about it, I have only purchase Pond Matrix, and not any additional Siporax. The only possible issue with Siporax is that it is made from Scintered glass, and may contribute some silica to the water. I have not had any issues with that.

looking great. What are you keeping your tank temperature at?

I got a lennardi last week and it was doing great till my tank went from 76 to 80 without me noticing and not he hasnt been out of the sand in 2 days. Any idea on if this would be the cause, high temperatures?
